‘Let’s spend a moment with the Scriptures.’
Just 2 Minutes is a series of very short insights into selected biblical passages. The title itself – like his previous books that focused on ten minutes a day - acknowledges the challenges of finding time to deepen our faith journey in the context of the busyness of everyday life.
Yet, the process is hardly limited to 2 minutes. The short reflections offered are simply prompts that invite us to consider the material throughout our day, from time to time, asking ourselves how these key teachings deepen our understanding of the gospel message and our commitment to the Jesus tradition.
Spending a few moments with the Scriptures is itself a healing exercise. It suggests that we stop, pause for a short while, and be reminded of the meaning of life interpreted for us in the life and teaching of Jesus who himself frequently found time to stop, reflect, pray and be renewed in his own spiritual journey.
